What It Means To Pioneer
There is a certain satisfaction that comes from being called a pioneer. Lewis and Clark, Yuri Gagarin, Marie Curie, and countless others throughout history earned that title, and for good reason… They were the first. Collectively speaking, their resolve, bravery, and steadfastness allowed the rest of the human species to advance as a result of their hard work.
As With History’s Greats, So Too Has NITC Pioneered
National ITC (NITC) has pioneered brazing processes certifications for members of the medical gas piping industry since the early 1990’s… We were the first. Our practical brazing test would become the industry standard when qualifying medical gas systems installers for their American Society of Sanitary Engineering (ASSE) 6010 certifications. Maintaining industry-wide best practices, along with remaining abreast of updates to International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO) codes and standards has been a priority of NITC since then, the result of continually evolving updates to the requirements for certifying Medical Gas and Vacuum System Brazing professionals.
In fact, NITC now qualifies additional Practical Braze Tests, allowing us to cover the full range of copper tube sizes used (from ¼” to 8”) for the installation of Medical Gas Systems as required by the latest editions of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 99 Healthcare Facilities Code and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Section IX Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code.
Continue Forging New Paths For the Betterment of Society
Making the decision to pioneer, to forge a new path where nobody else had the vision to go, often results in improvements for us all that many people never notice. That’s a sign of success because it means the efforts of those endeavors were seamless and functional… And that’s one of NITC’s shared goals among all the certifications we offer.
